19 Utah Mayors Support John Curtis for Congress
Provo's Conservative Mayor and 2017 Republican candidate for Congress, John Curtis, earned the endorsement of 19 Utah Mayors on Monday. These endorsements come from all across the state, but mostly from the 3rd Congressional District, and they add to Curtis' growing momentum.
"These dedicated public servants are pillars of our communities. They know that it takes hard work and action over words and promises. I am proud to announce their support today," said Curtis.
"Government is the most effective at the local level. These Mayors know the hard work that goes into their jobs each and every day," continued Curtis. "It is gratifying to have those who have worked closest with me support our campaign. This is a validation of the hard things we have done together and the problems we have solved."
"As a mayor, I know the hard work Mayor Curtis does each and every day,” said Mayor Wilford Clyde of Springville. “He is a conservative businessman who has not only cut taxes and shrunk government, but he's attracted business to Provo too. I'm proud to endorse John for Congress."
Mayor Acerson of Lindon said, "D.C. needs some Utah values – not the other way around. That's why we need to send John there to represent us. I am proud to stand with John Curtis and urge my colleagues and constituents to do the same."

About John Curtis
John Curtis is a longtime businessman and has served as mayor of Provo since 2010. One of the most popular leaders in the history of the city, Mayor Curtis led the transformation of Downtown Provo into a thriving business center.
He’s running for congress because Washington is broken and it’s time we start getting things done. Utah needs a conservative leader to go to D.C. that will help get the Republican agenda passed. Actions speak louder than words, and Curtis has lived his life that way — from building a multi-million dollar firearms safety business that employs hundreds right here in Utah, to leading Provo, a city where 94% of residents like what he's accomplished with conservative policies.
D.C. is broken, but our local politics are working. We’ve done the hard work: cut taxes, shrunk government, attracted businesses and services, and now Provo is booming. Curtis' message to D.C. about conservative governance? It works!
