Rep. John Curtis introduces bill to stop or slow funding to United Nations
January 30, 2024
Utah Rep. John Curtis (R-District 3) introduced a bill in Washington, D.C. that would rank and potentially stop funding to United Nations programs deemed to be against U.S. interests. The bill, called the Determining Excessive Funding for the United Nations for Dereliction (DEFUND) Act, would force the State Department to rank various agencies in the United Nations. The ranking would be based on how vital U.S. involvement and funding is in that agency to support U.S. interests.
